Tribute to 19-10 by sanosoke Tribute to 19-10 by sanosoke
This is my very first spacescape work.
Completely inspired by who has always been around to help me out.
I looked at so many tutorials, I don't think I can list them, I think most of the ones here on dA.
Spent the last few days working on this on and off, all photoshop.
Thanks for looking, and any advise you can give is much appreciated, I'm here to learn.
Sacha

edit: Much thanks for =resurgere for the wonderful stock

YOU SEE??!?!??!?!! YOU SPEND THE TIME, IT COMES OUT!!!

Good lord, thank you for finally submitting a good "first piece". I can't tell you how many times I have had to run through galleries upon galleries of crappy blue balls, noise filters, and lens flares to try and find something good. Thanks man, this is brilliant for a first try. Better than my first try :)

Keep going, you'll get better at it.

hmm...could have sworn I commented on this one, I guess not...
Awesome, awesome stuff...especially for a first...I don't think I could do this if it was my 2000th :D

The nebula, though, does seem to stick out...Honestly, I've got no advice for you on that, maybe lower the opacity or blend it a little more? I'm not really sure...

this is your first?! Omg!

I think it is awesome, the stars look good, the Eart and Moon look realistsic( I especially like the glowing layer around the earth) and the colours are just fantastic.

But there are some disturbing lines inside the nebulam some paintbrush strokes or something, and I think it would look a lot better without them:)

great work:)

Nice job, it is extremly good for your first.

I think the nebula needs some work and the stars could be softened a bit. =)

Well, I am not a space artist, but it seems to just pop out at you. Maybe try to make it look more distant and blended into the star field.

Could you tell me how to improve the nebula? or at least what is awkward about it? I could really use the help

well, i really don't know much about space, i mainly am an admirer, but i can tell you that your nebula is fine, except that it goes from really light to rather dark to splashes of dark and light (the splashes being the little stars all around)
maybe that's a nebula supposed to be, but i personally find it a little bit bizarre since it so bright
pops out just a little bit too violently, ya know?
the colours are nice however, and i do like the little ray of light shooting out of the nebula, didn't see that the first time, obviously didn't look close enough:XD:
btw, i agree with daniel245, so do listen to what he says ;)

any suggestions on how to make the star field better? Thanks for your comment

well as it is the colours of the nebula and the planet are relected onto the starfelid, giving it more colour but i think in the top right corner the colour should be alotmore faded.

also i would add a leverls layer and make it darker so that some of the stars cant be seen, thus giving it more variationg :)
