Well, I think this might be my best work. At least it's the piece I've spent the longest amount of time on, and maybe put the most effort into. At first glance, it's a remake of my older piece "Wonderful", but it's not intended as a remake, Just liked the point of view and terrain.

I am submitting this for 's terragen contest: [link]
Terrain is WM5 by TheElement (thank you) and a very special thanks to Stijn, AKA 19-10 who helped me an incredible amount with my postworking skills, most of which I learned on this piece.
Also, thank you to Tiwiwine for rendering the strata parts for me, as alas, TGmac cannot do Strata.

Ok, technical jargon:
4 terragen renders. two of them taking 30-40 hours each, blended in Photoshop
About 7 hours to set up the scene in TG
I spent a lot of the last 3 days postworking this baby. Lots of stock, a fair amount of brushing, all new techniques learned.
Original renders 6400x4800 on a 2049^2 terrain

I hope you enjoy it, and thank you for any comments and votes you give me.
Also, any advice you could give would be great, because I am still willing to go back and tweak some things.
Sacha

:jawdrop: :wow: :faint: Holy crapoly!! I'm freezing just looking at this! Amazing work here, Sacha...I'm truly impressed. I mean, the tree on the left side of the ravine in the snow has no leaves and the one just across from it in the grass still has it's leaves. Geez you really put a lot of work into this one and it shows. :+fav:

It's a simple question, Doctor: If the moon was made of ribs, would you eat it?! It's not rocket science; answer yes so we can move on.
Just to warn you... i dont this this will get the popularity it deserves. When i saw this in my watch i was sorta skeptical, 1 because i relate the word "Inevitable" to =dilekt's featured piece, and becasue for some reason i wasnt impressed by the preview. I think the sk turned me off. It was only when i full viewed that i saw how amazing this sublime piece of work was. Its incredible, the terragen and texture is amazing.

Keep it up
